The brand called on Monotype to create a new, energetic and textural script typeface, named ‘Eurosport Raw’ to elevate their brand voice more powerfully than ever before. Eurosport RAW — Capturing the voice of athletes and fans.

Sport is energetic, sport is powerful, sport is both precise and gritty. Eurosport’s rebrand reflects exactly that: precision and energy in sporting endeavors. The brand called on Monotype to create a new, energetic and textural script typeface, named ‘Eurosport Raw’ to elevate their brand voice more powerfully than ever before. The new overarching sans and script type system amplifies the passion for achievement that the Eurosport brand embodies.

The new typefaces act as a steward for Eurosport, guiding fans through the world of sport. The overarching design theme allows for more cohesion and consistency across their channels and messaging.

“Our goal was always to show sport as it’s seen and experienced by the fans and players, [which is] never staged or set up – real sport that is vibrant, authentic, and relatable, with a gritty underbelly,” said Dan Capstick, Creative Director at DixonBaxi

“Eurosport Raw is a swift gesture, a painterly expression aimed at conveying the motion of competition, it’s not decorative, it’s pure action. This is dynamic type, designed to stir and align emotions to brand’” said Phil Garnham, Creative Type Director at Monotype.
